Grants from the Regimental Association

All serving members of the AGC who contribute to the Regimental Association through the One Day’s Pay Scheme (Service Day's Pay Giving) ) are eligible to apply for financial assistance to help with their personal contributions towards the cost of Adventurous Training, Team Building, Study Days, Seminars, Official Social Gatherings and other events that foster esprit de corps.

Grants are also available to help provide comforts and amenities in operational theatres that cannot be provided from other resources.

How to apply for a grant from the Regimental Association

To apply for a grant please follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Download the Application Form and the specimen spreadsheet.

Step 2: Complete the Word document with the necessary details. It is important that the form is fully completed with details of the activities and the costs.  You must provide the full and accurate costs and details of grants from other sources.

Step 3: Make a list of the AGC personnel, who are taking part, on the spreadsheet. In column A insert the surname of the person for whom you are applying for the grant. In column B insert their Army number. No other details are required on the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet must be named check.xls.

Step 4: Email the completed Word document and Spreadsheet to RHQ AGC. Email both files to the RHQ AGC Accountant at:

Points to Note (Grants):

Please ensure that you complete the spreadsheet with accurate Army numbers.

Please make sure that you tell us who you are, your unit address, telephone number, email address and who to make the cheque out to.

RHQ AGC will check eligibility of individuals and inform the sender of the decision to award a grant.

Grants are normally paid about 2 to 3 weeks before the function or event.


How to apply for an Adventurous Training Grant from the Regimental Association

To apply for an Adventurous Training grant please follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Download the 'Adventurous Training Application Form' and the specimen spreadsheet.

Step 2: Complete the form in Word with the necessary details. It is important that the form is fully completed. You must provide the full and accurate costs of the exercise in order that the amount of the grant can be calculated. The dates of the exercise are important and must be included.

Step 3: Make a list of the AGC personnel, who are taking part, on the spreadsheet. In column A insert the surname of the person for whom you are applying for the grant. In column B insert their Army number. The spreadsheet must be named check.xls.

Step 4: Email the Application Form and the Spreadsheet to:

Points to Note (Adventurous Training Grants):

Please also send by email any supporting documents such as Joint Service Adventurous Training Form 'Alpha'

After the exercise, you are required to write an article for the AGC Journal. Articles should be sent with digital images to the Editor by Email to:

or on DVD/CD to the address at the foot of the page. Do not send the PXR to the Editor.

Other Points to Note:

RHQ AGC cannot accept applications on paper.

Grants will only be paid to those who pay Regimental Subscriptions under the One Day's Pay Scheme (Service Day's Pay Giving).

All grants are recorded on the RHQ AGC database for financial management and statistical purposes.

Applications that do not conform to the above guidelines will not be processed and returned to the originator causing delay to you application.
