The Regimental Collect of
the Adjutant General’s Corps
On
occasions when some form of religious observance is made, it
is usual to include the Corps Collect (the word
“Collect” meaning “that which is selected for use on a
particular day or occasion”.) It is essentially a family
prayer, the form of words reflecting the Corps’ role and
purpose. The Collect is:
Father of
all, grant to us who are bound together in the Adjutant
General’s Corps, The grace to understand that those whom we
support depend on Our integrity, expertise and resolution, and
following in the footsteps of your Son, May we be mindful of
their needs and faithful in our responsibilities:
Through
the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The
Regimental Grace
It is customary for the PMC (or the
Chaplain or a senior cleric, if present) to say grace before
diners take their seats at Regimental Dinners or other formal
dining occasions. The Corps Grace is:
Lord, we,
the officers of the Adjutant General’s Corps here assembled,
welcome our distinguished guests to our table and join with
them in thanking You for providing good food, good wine and
good companionship. As we enjoy these bountiful gifts, we
remember our colleagues in the Corps, wherever they are
serving. In Your name, Oh Lord. Amen.
All
present join in saying “Amen”
